Who we are

Oenova (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a wine inventory management platform for wine producers. This policy explains what personal data we collect through oenova.app and home.oenova.app and how we use it.

What we collect

When you create an account we collect:

• Email address, used to create and secure your account
• Inventory data, lots, locations, movements, and other records you enter into the platform

We do not collect payment details directly. Payments are handled by our payment processor.

Cookies and analytics

On oenova.app we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions.

We use Google’s Consent Mode to control this: until you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit, no analytics cookies are set and no data is linked to you individually. Google may still receive limited, cookieless signals used only for aggregate statistical modelling, never for identifying you. Accepting grants full analytics cookies; you can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

We also use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that does not use cookies or collect personal data, to measure aggregate page performance. Once you accept, data collected by Google Analytics may include an anonymised IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and referral source, processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.

Why we collect it

Your email address is used to authenticate your account, send transactional notifications (such as password resets), and contact you about your subscription. We will never use it for unrelated marketing or share it with third parties.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email address you provide and where on the site you signed up. We use it solely to send you the newsletter, we never share or sell it, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also request removal at any time by emailing contact@oenova.app.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your personal data on the basis of contract performance. Your data is necessary to provide the service you have signed up for. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing us.

How long we keep it

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel and request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised usage statistics may be retained for analytics purposes.

Where it is stored

Data is stored in Supabase, a cloud database service with servers in the EU. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Withdraw cookie consent at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer
• Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
